Today, One Kings Lane has a fantastic price on what just might be the perfect white photography linens: the long cocktail napkin. I love the lightness and the fine details on the Fino Linens, and the longer shape makes them great for using as regular dinner napkins in shots without all the bulk:

These particular napkins are 4 for $15, but there are other styles that are 8 for $19. A terrific price for fine linen with this kind of finish work.

One Kings Lane, by the way, is a daily deal site that has a lot of interior decorating and furnishing ideas. Not all of them excite me, but on occasion, there are some real winners. Pickled Red Onions

We had some amazing pickled red onions at The Swinery’s guest chef night at FareStart a few weeks ago. I’ve been craving them since, so I’m making some using a variation of this recipe.

But, while slicing the onion, I couldn’t stop myself from grabbing my camera to take a quick shot. And then, another.
